Howden Re announces two new joiners in Germany, expanding the DACH Facultative team

Verena Seitz (from April 2026) and Johanna Fricke (from July 2026) will in future work at the Howden Re’s Hamburg office, to support the further expansion of facultative reinsurance activities in the DACH region. Both have many years of experience in structuring and placing complex multinational programs and bring an established customer network in the DACH market.

The appointments come at a time when clients are operating in an increasingly complex risk environment and are increasingly relying on close partnership, local networking and best-in-class execution. Howden Re is meeting this need with a growth strategy that combines local strength with global expertise: The offices in London, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Switzerland work together across countries and form a closely networked platform for customer-oriented, analytically sound solutions.

Together, these new additions strengthen our broking expertise and mark another important step in the expansion of our DACH team.

The appointments of Verena Seitz and Johanna Fricke are part of a series of strategic appointments – including Ilka Freitag, Cem Nart, Enver Karapinar and Andreas Fricke – that position Howden Re as one of the most attractive reinsurance brokers in the DACH market.
