Howden Re strengthens US Casualty capabilities with two senior appointments

Howden Re continues to strengthen its US Casualty team with two senior appointments.

Matthew Kuczwaj has joined as Managing Director, Casualty Actuarial, bringing more than 25 years of experience across treaty pricing, reserving and reinsurance analytics.

Jackson Fairweather has joined as Director, Casualty Broking, bringing nearly a decade of casualty treaty reinsurance experience and strong relationships across US clients and markets.

Both appointments build on the significant investment Howden Re has made in its US Casualty practice, further strengthening the combination of broking, actuarial and analytical expertise available to clients.

Carrie Byler, Managing Director, Head of US General Casualty, Howden Re, said: “As our Casualty business grows, we are investing in the experience our clients receive. Jackson brings deep casualty treaty expertise and strong relationships across the US market. He will help us deliver an exceptional service to clients at every stage of the placement, from structuring through to execution.”

Evan Glisson, Managing Director, Global Head of Casualty Analytics, Howden Re, added: “Our clients need clear, data-driven insight to make confident decisions about their portfolios. Matt’s actuarial expertise adds real depth to our analytics capability and will help us give clients the insights they need to achieve their strategic goals.”
