Howden Re enhances Capital & Operational Solutions practice

Howden Re is pleased to announce the continued growth of its Capital & Operations Solutions Practice with a suite of new hires over the past 12 months, most recently with the appointment of Paul Ogni as Director – Operational Solutions.  

Howden Re International’s Capital & Operational Solutions Practice has grown to develop and provide industry-leading offerings to help clients address the most complex capital and operational challenges. By leveraging integrated and holistic capabilities across Howden Re and working closely with Howden Capital Markets & Advisory, Howden Re’s risk, capital and strategic advisory business, the practice employs a multi-strategy and multi-disciplinary approach to deliver both prospective and retrospective structured reinsurance solutions, operational solutions, and market risk advisory services.

Get to know the recent additions to the Capital & Operational Solutions team:

Paul Ogni, Director, Operational Solutions, who brings over 30 years of industry experience to Howden Re, will support the build out of a claims management advisory service. Prior to his appointment, he spent 20 years at Crawford & Company, where he served on the Group’s Global Senior Management Team as Regional Director for Eurasia and Africa and as Country Manager & Managing Director for Italy. Previously, Ogni was a Director at Studio Bolton and Associati and began his career as an insurance loss adjuster with tenures at McLarens UK and Graham Miller Italy.

Alexander Roth, Managing Director, Head of Capital & Operational Solutions, who joined with previous experience as Global Head of M&A and CEO Europe at DARAG. He previously held various roles in the field of Distressed M&A and Restructuring, including Crisis & Turnaround Management.

Tom Finch, Managing Director, Head of Prospective Solutions, who began his career at Swiss Re in 2007 and quickly moved into the Structured Reinsurance team. In 2019, he joined AXIS Capital to build a customised reinsurance team with a global remit before assuming additional leadership roles in the Chief Underwriting Office.

Alexandre Veber, Director, Broking & Structured Solutions, who brings over 15 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, most recently holding several leadership roles at Wakam.

Matti Becker, Associate Director, Capital & Operational Solutions, who joined with 8 years of experience, having previously worked in EY’s Strategy and Transactions practice for the financial services sector.
