Howden Re appoints David Simpson to support growth across the Nordics and Continental Europe

Howden Re is pleased to announce the appointment of David Simpson to the Howden Re International broking team. David will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of Howden Re's business across the Nordic region and Continental Europe. He will join in early 2027 following the completion of his contractual obligations with his current employer.

David will join the International team based in London, with a focus on delivering our global capabilities and context to Nordic and European clients. This appointment further strengthens our European offering from London that works hand in hand with our regional teams to provide fully integrated broking and advisory across all products and sources of capital.

With almost two decades of experience in the reinsurance industry, David is widely recognised for his expertise in Nordic Property & Casualty reinsurance. Over the course of his career, he has built strong relationships with cedants and markets across the Nordic region while also supporting clients across a broad range of European territories.
