In “European MGAs at a turning point”, published in The Insurer, Enrico Bertagna, managing director of Bowood Europe said the European MGA landscape is undergoing a decisive transformation.
The European MGA sector is shifting from early-stage growth to a more mature, strategically driven phase, particularly for mid-sized MGAs navigating the next stage of evolution.
“A few large MGAs are evolving into pan-European entities with increasing sophistication,” said Bertagna. “But the majority – tier two MGAs – have now reached a pivotal moment. They must decide how to progress. This could mean expanding into new products or new territories.”
